Waterslide and its history

Waterslide and its history

The waterslides in a theme park using a constant flow of water.
Through the water the track will be slippery and very fast.

The history of the big waterslides:

The water waterslides are round, like the aqueducts. This is because it is the best way to transport the water.

In 1923 Herbert Sellner brought
the first water slide to America.
It was a copy of his toboggan
but then filled with water.

Herbert Sellner was addicted to amusement parks.
The water slide was the beginning of one of his many inventions.
For example, the roller coaster rides, etc.

By the waterslide is the intention that you first climb up and then slide down.
By gravity sliding you down.
By rubbing your clothes make you glide slowly.
On a water slide reduces friction and therefore go faster.
The force of the water that goes down it pulls you.
This will take you very fast.

The water slides are usually made of fiberglass, in pieces of a few meters.
Every few meters, the pieces screwed together.
The fiberglass pieces are supported by a steel frame.
In 90% of cases, the waterslide ends in a pool, but there are also waterslides that endin a bucket .
The water is through a pump system pumped up.
It always use the same water.
